Breaking open the pinata

This summer Kacey and his family came to visit us. Each day was as busy as the one before. Here we are breaking open a pinata. Joshua went first, swinging the bat with all his might but having little success.
Emma was determined to hit the pinata. She hit it many times but also with no success.
The best part was when Emma took control over pulling the rope. She pulled with all her might so that Joshua and Kristen could not hit the pinata.
Kristen was a good sport and gave it a try. Being the great aunt that she is, she let Joshua break open the pinata.

Washington trip highlights

Robin, Jann and I pose in front of the high school that is in the twilight movie. The high school is located in Kalama Washington. It was surprising how many things are around the Longview area that were in the movie.
This is a sign that was posted in front of Bella's house. I am sure they lost any privacy, peace and quiet once it was posted where Balla's house is located. It is in St. Helen's Oregon.

Mom, Robin, Jann and I went out to dinner with my cousin Terry and his grandchildren. We had a great time!

Kendal and Alissa are having a girl

Kendal and Alissa had a cupcake party where we all found out if they were having a boy or a girl. Even they did not know. Alissa had cupcakes made which had either blue or pink filling inside. We each took a bite of our cupcake and then we counted up how many were blue and how many were pink. Whichever color there was more of determined the sex of their baby. We were all so happy to find out that it is a girl! Kendal and Alissa posed for a picture showing the cupcakes. It's pink!

"What you do in life will be insignificant but do it anyway."
Ghandi
I love this saying. Throughout our lives we think that the world revolves around us when really we are but a small part of what happens in the world. Our lives touch others lives and we are loved and give love in return. We matter to each other. Heavenly Father knows us. He loves us and to Him we are not insignificant. Our older Brother gave us life for you and for me. This is the reason we strive to do our very best, and it is for those whom we love that we work hard, make sacrifices, and feel that we are part of something bigger. We are spiritual beings having a human experience. We are an eternal family destined for a celestial life together. It is such a great blessing to give love and to be loved. Never forget that.
