Temple Day with the Missionaries

We love Sister Arias.  She is from Colombia.

Elder Meisner and Elder Werner are both from Germany.
Elder Carpentier and his companions jump for joy to be at the Temple.

Tartan

My dear friend Rachel gave me my first tartan from Scotland.  She is from a town that is right on the border of England and Scotland.  I have to listen really hard when she talks to understand her even though she is speaking English.

English Roads

It is not unusual to see policeman on horses in the middle of downtown Preston.

Speed limit signs also warn you that there are cameras on you all the time!
 Speed cameras on the motorway.

What?  Translation please?

Preston District P-Day

Playing volleyball with the Preston District.

Sister Madsen and Sister Christensen aren't happy that they cannot paly the games with everyone.

English Farm House

Dad and I came across this beautiful English Farm house whilst driving from Workington to Lancaster on all the back country roads.  We absolutely love this house.  It is very traditionally English.

Preston District Sytreet Contacting

We love these wonderful missionaries!  We all met in Preston to street contact.  We talked with everyone who passed by and actually gave out 61 Books of Mormon on this day.  Elder Sorenson, Elder Curtis, Elder Hebert, Elder Franson and Elder Jenks, Elder Fields, Sister Madsen, Sister Christensen, Sister Ranku, Sister Fewou,  Elder Blunck and Sister Blunck.

Blackpool Elders

Elder Blunck and I went to a "Fill the Font Night" in Blackpool.  This was a very successful and wonderful night.  There was no one to baptize and no water in the font but we gathered around the font and had a testimony meeting.  It was very inspirational.  They had talks on baptism and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost with a member of the Stake Presidency giving the concluding remarks and then we went to the font for a testimony meeting.  Elder Van Bakel (Netherlands) and Elder Suriyachan (Thailand)

May Zone Meeting

Sister Fewou and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch together.  Sister Fewou is from France and is struggling learning English but she is not discouraged.  She is working hard and overcoming many obstacles.
Sister Zhe (China) and Elder Suriyachan watch the zone activity from behind the doors.  The balls were going everywhere and it was a little dangerous.
Sister Leiter teaches all of us how to play the game.

Look out Elders!  Here comes the ball.  We love playing chair football.
