Maddie and Me

Here is my dear friend Maddie.  She and I have gone to school together for the last five years.  She recently graduated from High School and is moving on to college.  I am really going to miss her.
Maddie had a graduation party at Good Wood with many of the people who have been a big influence in her life from kindergarten to high school.  Her kindergarten teacher was even there from California.  Maddie emailed me the information about this Vans backpack that she wanted for graduation.  Bet you can't guess what I gave her?
Maddie gives me a big hug.  I hope there are many more to come and that we will remain friends as the years go by.  I have been very blessed to have a job working with someone who means so much to me!

Beauty and hydropnics

Isn't this the most beautiful thing you have ever seen?  Kristen poses by our Golden Chain tree while it is in bloom.  Kristen is so beautiful!
Here is a picture of Dad's hydroponic garden.  This picture was taken in the beginning stages.  It now has green healthy plants in it and is doing amazingly well.  I am so proud of him!
This is the fish tank with blue gill in it.  The fish fertilize the garden as the water flows through the pipes.  It is really a very ingenious creation.  Dad has worked so hard on it and everyone is stopping by to see it.  Dad even has some of his friends giving it a try.

Where did ny teeth go?

Joshua lost his two front teeth.  Love this picture!

Amelia and Joel take care of Grandma and Grandpa

Grandpa and I went to LA to take care of Amelia and Joel while Kim and Brad went to Nauvoo.  On the first day Amelia and Joel took us to the choo choo train mall.  As you can see they got to ride the train and had smiles from ear to ear.
Joel loved playing on the fire truck.
Grandpa and Joel played superman.  They didn't need capes though.  I already know they are both supermen.  Okay, so Joel is growing into his role as superman but grandpa is already my hero!
I loved story time every night.  I got to snuggle with Amelia and Joel as we read stories and looked at the pictures.  This is one of my favorite memories!
Grandpa and decided that we wanted to go to the beach one day after we finished shopping at Home Depot.  Amelia started telling us where to go;  "Turn left, turn right or go straight."  She knew where to go and didn't even use a GPS. We were so impressed with our smart little granddaughter! As soon as we got there they ran right to the water. It was hard to get them to get back into the car to go home.
Kim and Brad brought back nerf guns for Amelia and Joel to play with.  They had a nerf war with mom and dad while we were waiting to leave to go to church.  Don't they look cute in their new clothes?
More beach exploration!
