Time to go Home

We are all so sad to be going home.  The week went by so fast!
Joshua hugs Hallie and tells her good -by.
 Love you!
Joshua and Emma are in their car seats ready to drive to the Portland airport to fly home to Ohio.
Thanks for coming to the beach with us!  We love you all!
Kim and Brad are ready to drive back to California.

Long Beach Fun

Kacey and Kendal look to see what kind of trouble they can come up with.
Korbin and Abby take a moped for a ride on the beach.
These bikes are so much fun!

Now here's trouble!  After a very competitive race on the go carts we all pose for a picture.

Light house or no light house?

What, the light house is closed!  That's not funny!  Actually, we had a little bit of sickness on our trip.  Hand, foot and mouth disease played a big part in how some of the children felt during the trip.  Poor Joel did not feel well and Amelia had a slight case of it before she came to Washington.  Savanna and Hallie had it a few weeks before our trip.  Kristen had it really bad just before she came to Washington too, (I know, I know, your not a child Kristen)
Kristen and Savanna pose for a picture by the lookout on the way to Cape Disappointment.

I love this man!  Thanks for the great trip to the beach!
When we got to the light house it was just closing for the day.  We were all disappointed but it was so beautiful there.
Emma waits to go exploring with her cousins.

Pool Anyone?

We had some pretty mean competitions at the pool table.  Every night there was another tournament going on.

A Little R & R

Grandpa takes a nap with Savanna and Hallie.  He is just a little sun burned!  They all look exhausted!
The girls loved making necklaces, key chains and coloring Cinderella pictures.
Amelia slept in a bed made for a princess.
Puzzle time!  After showers and PJ's were on the girls decided to put together a puzzle.
 Kim makes every party fun!
Hallie loved riding on the rocking horse in the children's play room.

Playing at the Beach

Emma and Amelia are ready to play at the beach.
Mom and I enjoying the beach.  We actually went to the beach at Seaview where we could drive our car onto the beach where ever we wanted to picnic and play.
Korbin decided that the water was too cold to play in.  Brrrrr!
 Beach Beauties!
Joel shows us his stick while trying to keep sand out of his ring pop.  Good luck there!
Grandma Brinkerhoff helps Joel fly Grandpa Brinkerhoff's kite.  It is the best kite ever.  It was the only one that would actually stay in the sky.
Karl organized some games for all of us to play.  We had such a good time.  Thanks to the best grandpa ever!
Joshua and Abby did a good job wrapping Korbin up with toilet paper so he looked like a mummy.
Joshua always has a sweet smile for the camera.
Emma and Amy wrap Kacey up.  I think they won the race!  Way to go!
We also played a game holding a ball between our bodies, (can't use your hands) and Hallie and Kendal definitely were the fastest.

Astoria Column

Getting ready to climb the Astoria Column. This is such a fun family tradition!  Karl gave each of the kids airplanes to throw off the column when they reached the top.
Can you see everyone up there on the top?  Right by the railing?

Visit to Grandpa Brinkerhoff's Grave

As we left Longview, to drive to the beach, we stopped at the cemetery to place flowers on Grandpa Brinkerhoff's grave.

Cute Kids!

It looks like Batman is a little worn out!
The bear got a lot of hugs and lovin while we were at Grandma Brinkerhoff's house!  Emma takes a little rest on the coffee table in the white room.
Joshua can't wait to play some video games but it isn't his turn yet.  Batman waits patiently for his turn.
Hallie loves her tutu.  I love her outfit and I think she likes it too!
Sweet Amelia!  Love her angelic little face.
Savanna loved sitting on the kitty in the white room.  Her dog Max and the kitty seemed to get along just fine.
